Wooohooo, the estuary at its best. Complete and utter mayhem out there, 35
knots, mad chop, high tide and the place to myself. Survival conditions
most of the time really although I was making my gybes and getting some
nice controlled chop hops in, but bearing away was a scary ride. Sailed
over to the point once and could see the waves firing off the bar. Would
love to have sailed out there but with a 35 knot offshore wind, a big
outgoing tide and no-one around it would have been foolish to have done
so.
Larry came to the beach for a while but decided it was far too mad to go
kiting so headed off the the lifeboat station for a surf.
I've just walked across to the seafront here and I'm quite tempted to go
out there, it is currently about 4 foot with a 25 knot wind at the waters
edge and much more out the back... Would ead to some epic offshore wave
riding on the super fast, super steep waves... Again, not a place to be on
your own... Where is everybody??
I'll post some photos in the beachguides and in the forums.
